Award Winner in 2015:
Madeleine Røn Juul
Hans Christian Andersen enjoyed great popularity as a dramatist in his own time, and only few other Danish authors among his contemporaries have had such a lasting influence on the theatre as he has. With the production of his comedy “Ole Lukøje” in august 2014, Odense Teater proved that H.C. Andersen’s dramatic work is still very much alive. And life there was in this performance – thanks to Madeleine Røn Juul’s fantastically modern musical adaption, which nonetheless managed to preserve the charm of the original.
